Winter

Today’s taste of sunshine and warmth is invigorating! Let’s be honest; it’s been a long cold winter. The brutal cold in January was expected- it was January in Wisconsin, after all, and subzero temps are part of the package. However, that’s January. February is a new month; days get longer, temps moderate. Last week’s run of subzero temps (-13F) at night, with days that could not even reach a temp of Zero (0 F), was an unpleasant surprise. But today is a new day, and tomorrow starts a new week.

The animals are anxious to return to a daily routine of sunshine and the freedom to roam around the paddocks, and we’re just as eager to get them out of the barn! Just a little longer- winter is almost over!
