Our flock of Toulouse French Geese arrived as 2 day-old goslings on June 6, 2024.

Toulouse French Geese serve multiple purposes on our farm. They are an “early warning system” – sounding a boisterous welcome for guests or intruders. As they free-range, our geese are avid bug-eaters and weeders protecting our garden produce. However, their most useful function lies in the production of huge (9.5 oz), delicious eggs in early spring.

Not only do these eggs make an incredible family-sized omelet, but we blow out and sanitize the delicate shells, providing them for sale to crafters. These shells are available at the Urlakis Family Farm LLC booth at the Richfield Farmer’s Market.
